Clinical Protocol

7-Day Lp-PLA2 Reduction Plan

A targeted protocol to lower Lipoprotein-associated Phospholipase A2, a marker of vascular inflammation and unstable plaque.

Protocol Objectives
Vascular Cooling

Lp-PLA2 indicates inflammation *inside* the artery wall. The goal is systemic cooling via antioxidants (berries, leafy greens, tea).

Oral Health Link

Gum disease bacteria can enter the blood and spike Lp-PLA2. Diet should support oral microbiome (avoid sugar, eat crunchy veg).

Vitamin E & C

These antioxidants prevent the lipid oxidation that triggers Lp-PLA2 release.

Omega-3s

Reduce the substrate for inflammation. Marine sources (EPA/DHA) are most effective.

Dental Floss

While not food, flossing daily reduces the bacterial load that drives systemic Lp-PLA2 elevation.

Blood Pressure

High blood pressure damages vessel walls, triggering inflammation. Keep sodium moderate and potassium (veggies) high.
